     Started his journey as a musician from a young age, being a member and collaborator of the renowned Thai band Sqweez Animal  for over 20 years.

     During this time, he created music, performed live, and shared countless memories with close friends and bandmates.

     Eventually, he decided to step out of his safe zone and build a new path — one that did not rely solely on the fame and reputation of the band, but reflected his own true identity.

      With a lifelong love for music and a deep bond with cannabis culture since his teenage years, he found the inspiration to create his own business.

      He founded Smok Animal, a cannabis shop built independently, with no partners, no investors — a pure 100% self-driven journey.

      I am the founder and owner of Smok Animal, a small shop born from nothing but my own dream and determination.

      After facing disappointment from a failed business partnership, I chose to start again on my own — without relying on anyone, without sharing ownership, purely driven by my own will.          

   Before this chapter, I spent over 20 years in the Thai music scene as a member of Sqweez Animal, a band I was deeply connected with and built countless memories alongside.

      But one day, I realized it was time to step out of my safe zone and stand on my own, without leaning on past fame or success.

      That moment became the spark for the name Smok Animal — a blend of my past, present, and true self.

        I have always loved music, and I have always embraced the freedom of cannabis.

        Both have been with me since my teenage years, and even now, in my forties, they remain inseparable parts of my life — the foundation upon which Smok Animal was born.

       ผมคือผู้ก่อตั้งและเจ้าของกิจการ Smok Animal ร้านเล็ก ๆ ที่เกิดจากความฝันและความดื้อดึงของตัวเองล้วน ๆ หลังจากเคยผิดหวังกับการทำธุรกิจร่วมกับเพื่อน ที่สุดท้ายต้องแยกทางกันไป ผมตัดสินใจเริ่มต้นใหม่คนเดียว โดยไม่พึ่งพาใคร และไม่แบ่งหุ้นกับใครทั้งนั้น — ทุกอย่างเกิดจากแรงขับของผมเองจริง ๆ

         He previously worked with Grittarin in a former cannabis business, serving as a branch manager for over three years. During that time, Grittarin personally hired Bas with his own funds, which allowed them to work closely together and build a strong foundation of trust. 

           Through those years, Bas witnessed everything behind the scenes — from the internal conflicts and disagreements among business partners, to the eventual fallout that led Grittarin to walk away and build his own path. Bas stood by his side through it all, becoming not only a work partner and advisor, but also a younger brother figure to the Smok Animal family.                          Outside of work, Bas is passionate about skimboarding, a watersport similar to surfing but performed in shallow waters along the shore. He’s also known for constantly seeking out new activities and toys, bringing energy, fun, and creativity into the circle of friends and The Smok Animal crew.

         Bas has been a key part of Smok Animal since day one. As the founder’s first advisor and loyal companion, he has stood through the highs and lows, the struggles and lessons, helping shape the journey that gave life to Smok Animal.

          Teh is one of the most essential members of Smok Animal—not just a helper, but truly like a little brother. He’s been supporting the shop in every way possible: from selling at the counter, repairing and decorating, cleaning, to even chilling and smoking like he owns the place.          

        Teh has known me (Caliph) since the early days when I met my wife—almost half a lifetime. He has seen every side of my life and stood by me through thick and thin. Whether it’s building the shop’s structure or fixing things when they break,

          Teh is always there, keeping everything running. Sure, sometimes things get broken, or stuff falls down—but his humor and playful nature fill the shop with life and laughter. His dedication and reliability make him a cornerstone of Smok Animal.

        Sam first entered the Smok Animal journey as one of our earliest suppliers, bringing in premium cannabis flowers for the shop. What started as a business relationship quickly grew into something much deeper — Sam became a younger brother, a partner we could trust, and eventually, family.  

       Coming from a government officer’s household, Sam’s upbringing shaped him with a lifestyle and perspective that, in many ways, mirror my own (Caliph). That similarity made it effortless for us to connect, relate, and form a bond that went beyond work.

       Among all the members of our crew, Sam is the closest to me in age — only a few years apart. But when it comes to family, he’s already a step ahead. Most of his kids are older than mine, except for his youngest son, Nakrob, who happens to be around the same age as my youngest daughter. Our kids quickly became friends, which naturally brought our families closer, making us feel like true relatives rather than just friends.

      Sam isn’t just a supplier or a business partner. He’s become part of the Smok Animal family — someone who stands with us through everything, whether it’s supporting the shop, helping each other financially, or simply enjoying downtime together. His genuine nature and warmth have made him an irreplaceable piece of our circle.

       Jack is truly like a little brother to me — one of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve had by my side. Although he’s much younger than me (born in 2001, almost like a son in terms of age difference), our bond runs deep. We’ve known each other since about two years before cannabis was decriminalized in Thailand, back when I was studying cultivation and preparing to build the foundation for my future business with knowledge gathered from abroad.

     Born and raised in Pattaya, Jack carries a unique background — his father is Icelandic, which not only gave him strong English skills but also a naturally international vibe from a young age.

      Our story began almost by coincidence. During one of my trips to Pattaya, I ran out of cannabis and couldn’t find quality flower anywhere. Out of options, I posted in a Facebook group, and Jack was the one who reached out offering something worth smoking.

     When we finally met, Jack surprised me — he refused to take my money, even though I intended to pay. He simply said:

     “Just take it, bro. I’ve been following your cultivation for a while. I’d like to know you, share knowledge, and maybe learn growing from you.”

      From that moment, our connection grew. We started sharing resources, consigning products, and splitting profits. Eventually, when I opened Smok Animal, Jack naturally became one of the first people I brought into the team. Today, he’s not only the friendly face at the counter — creating a welcoming vibe for customers — but also a 10% investor in the business.

         แจ็คเป็นน้องชายที่น่ารักของผมคนนึงเลยทีเดียว ถึงจะอายุน้อยกว่าผมมาก (เกิดปี 2001) จนเกือบจะเป็นรุ่นลูก แต่เรามีความผูกพันและความจริงใจต่อกันอย่างลึกซึ้ง รู้จักกันมาตั้งแต่ก่อนที่กัญชาจะถูกปลดล็อกในประเทศไทยราว 2 ปี ตอนนั้นผมกำลังศึกษาและเตรียมความพร้อมเรื่องการปลูกกัญชาเพื่อวางรากฐานธุรกิจในอนาคต โดยอาศัยข้อมูลจากต่างประเทศที่มีระบบกฎหมายรองรับ

        ครั้งแรกที่นัดเจอกัน แจ็คกลับไม่รับเงิน ทั้งที่ผมตั้งใจจะซื้อ เขาบอกแค่ว่า
  

       “เอาไปสูบเหอะพี่ ผมติดตามพี่ปลูกมาสักพักแล้ว อยากรู้จักกันไว้ จะได้แชร์ความรู้ พี่จะได้สอนผมปลูกบ้าง”

       Dom came into my life through Sam, who introduced us during one of those risky early days when we were moving cannabis in bulk to distribute across shops in Pattaya. After just a few runs together, I realized something important — we shared the same foundation: profit wasn’t for one person, but for the team. That mutual understanding built instant trust between us.

       Before I knew it, Dom became our one and only supplier. Unlike others who choose to split sources, I made the decision to rely on him exclusively — for the sake of trust, consistency, and smoother business operations. From that point on, Dom naturally became a key figure in the Smok Animal family.

       Dom was born and raised in Ban Phaeo, Samut Sakhon, where his family has been running a coconut farm for generations. Even now, his roots stay strong there. He already has one child, and despite his young age, carries the responsibility of family and work with maturity beyond his years.

       For me, Dom isn’t just a supplier — he’s a brother. There were times, especially during Pattaya’s low season, when the shop might not have survived without him. I don’t have the financial safety net to carry Smok Animal on my own, but with Dom’s support, we managed to endure. What binds us goes beyond money; it’s a debt of the heart.
